How Does The Assessment Work?

Practical Demonstrations

Throughout the course, you will take part in hands-on practical exercises that simulate real-life emergency scenarios.

These interactive sessions allow you to demonstrate your first aid skills in a safe environment, with our experienced instructor observing your technique and providing immediate feedback.

By the end of the day, you'll have practiced responding to various real life scenarios and emergencies.

Knowledge Assessment

Your theoretical understanding will be evaluated through a comprehensive final examination featuring both multiple-choice and open-ended questions.

This written assessment covers all key topics taught during the course, from CPR procedures and choking management to treating minor injuries and using AEDs.

The examination ensures you have retained the critical knowledge needed to make informed, life-saving decisions during workplace emergencies.

Certification

Upon successfully completing both the practical demonstrations and written assessment, you will receive your FAIB-accredited Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, valid for three years.

This nationally recognised qualification confirms you have the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to act as a responsible and effective First Aider in your workplace.

You'll leave the course ready to respond calmly and competently when emergencies arise, knowing you can make a real difference in critical situations.
