Oldham First Aid Training offers a suite of courses including Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), First Aid at Work (3-day full course), Blended First Aid at Work (online + classroom), Paediatric First Aid (OFSTED/EYFS compliant), Blended Paediatric First Aid, and Emergency Paediatric First Aid.
The EFAW course is a 6-hour, 1-day session, typically starting at 9:30 am and finishing by 3:30 pm.
It covers roles & responsibilities of a first aider, assessing emergencies, CPR (adult), defibrillator theory and pad placement, choking, seizures, bleeding, burns/scalds, shock, minor injuries, infection control, and incident reporting
The full course is delivered over 3 days (usually 3 × 6-hour sessions)
The blended version comprises 6 hours of online e-learning theory plus 2 days of classroom/practical training.
This course delivers in-depth training on: CPR, AED use, casualty assessment, fractures, head/spinal injuries, anaphylaxis, poisoning, chest injury, asthma, bleeding, burns & scalds, shock, fainting, and more advanced topics required by HSE standards.
The Paediatric First Aid course runs over 2 full days.
Yes — the blended course consist online learning + 1-day classroom based practical session
It is a 1-day course focusing on essential child first aid skills (e.g. choking, CPR for children) for those needing emergency paediatric coverage.
The requalification or refresher course is usually 2 days, condensing key elements of the full 3-day course
