The following terms and conditions apply to all orders for the purchase of services (as defined below) from Oldham First Aid Training Ltd.

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
a. “Attendee” means a person who is booked to attend a Course.
b. “Oldham First Aid Training” means Oldham First Aid Training Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14923786), whose registered office is at 274 Manchester Road, Oldham, England, OL9 7EL.
c. “Contract” means these terms and conditions, the application form completed by the Customer, and the booking confirmation issued by Oldham First Aid Training to the Customer.
d. “Course” means a first aid course, a mental wellbeing course or any similar course organised and delivered by Oldham First Aid Training.
e. “Customer” means the purchaser of Services, being either an Organisation or an Individual, and, where the context so requires, includes Attendees.
f. “DP Legislation” means all applicable laws and regulations relating to the processing of personal data and privacy including the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003.
g. “Group Course” means a Course booked by an Organisation for the benefit of its staff or members and held at a location chosen by the Organisation.
h. “Individual” means a person who attends a Scheduled Course.
i. “Organisation” means a Customer which is a company, charity, organisation, or other group, including a family group, which books a Group Course or books places for Individuals on a Scheduled Course.
j. “Scheduled Course” means a Course held at Oldham First Aid Training premises or premises chosen by Oldham First Aid Training on which members of the public can book a place, and on which Organisations can book one or more places for their members or staff.
k. “Services” means all Courses, first aid products and any other related products or services supplied by Oldham First Aid Training.
l. “Venue” means a location hired by Oldham First Aid Training on behalf of the Customer to facilitate a Group Course.
a. An Individual who books a place on a Scheduled Course must make payment at the time of booking unless offers or discounts are applied by Oldham First Aid Training at its discretion.
b. An Organisation which books a Group Course or books a place for an Individual on a Scheduled Course will be issued with an invoice, which must be paid in full and cleared before the Course start date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
c. Where payment is not received by the due date stated on the invoice or booking confirmation, Oldham First Aid Training reserves the right to apply a late payment administration fee of £100, applied once per overdue invoice, to cover additional administrative and recovery costs. This applies to both Individual and Organisational bookings.
d. Attendance on a Course does not remove or reduce the obligation to pay the full Course fee.
e. Certificates will not be issued, released, or validated until full payment has been received and cleared, including any applicable late payment administration fees.
f. For Organisational bookings, Oldham First Aid Training also reserves the right to charge statutory interest and recovery costs in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, where applicable.
g. The Customer shall pay VAT where applicable on all fees at the prevailing rate.
a. Oldham First Aid Training may cancel or reschedule a Course at any time.
b. If Oldham First Aid Training cancels a Course, it will inform the Customer as soon as possible and will give the Customer the option of attending the next available Course.
c. Oldham First Aid Training does not accept any responsibility for certificates which expire because of a cancelled Course.
d. Cancellations, requests to reschedule a Course or requests to substitute an Individual on a Scheduled Course can be made by phone on 0161 554 0196 or by email at [email protected]. Cancellations can also be made using the Model Cancellation Form (Appendix 1) at the end of these Terms and Conditions. This applies to both Scheduled Courses and Group Courses.
a. If an Organisation cancels a Group Course by giving less than 10 working days’ notice before the Group Course start date, the Organisation shall pay the full Course fee and no refund will be possible.
b. If an Organisation cancels bookings for Individuals on a Scheduled Course by giving more than 10 working days’ notice before the Scheduled Course start date, the Organisation shall pay 10% of the Course fee to cover administration costs and receive a 90% refund.
a. An Individual may cancel a Scheduled Course by providing more than 10 working days’ notice prior to the Scheduled Course date. The Course fee minus 10% will be refunded to cover administration costs.
b. If an Individual cancels a booking within 10 working days of the Scheduled Course date, Oldham First Aid Training will not refund the Course fee. An alternative date may be offered at the discretion of Oldham First Aid Training.
a. If an Organisation or Individual books places for Attendees on a Scheduled Course, they may transfer one or more Attendees from one Scheduled Course to another Scheduled Course once, without charge, provided Oldham First Aid Training receives the request at least 5 working days before the original Scheduled Course start date.
b. If a transfer request is received fewer than 10 working days before the Scheduled Course start date, the Organisation or Individual must pay for both Courses unless the Individual is ill and Oldham First Aid Training receives a valid medical certificate.
An Organisation which has booked a Scheduled Course must provide details of the Attendees no later than the start of the Scheduled Course.
a. An Organisation may reschedule a Group Course without charge, provided Oldham First Aid Training receives the request at least 10 working days before the original Group Course start date.
b. If a request to reschedule is received fewer than 10 working days before the Group Course start date, the Organisation will incur a charge of 50% of the original Group Course fee.
c. Where a Group Course is rescheduled, the Organisation remains subject to the terms and conditions of the Venue.
a. Good timekeeping throughout the Course is essential.
b. Oldham First Aid Training will email a booking confirmation to the booker, including Course start time details.
c. If a booking confirmation is not received, it is the responsibility of the booker to contact Oldham First Aid Training to request re-issue.
d. If an Attendee fails to attend a Course because a booking confirmation was not received, the full Course fee remains payable.
e. It is the responsibility of the booker to ensure that Attendees are fully briefed on Course attendance requirements.
f. Oldham First Aid Training will post certificates and invoices to UK addresses. International postage may incur an additional fee.
g. Requests for duplicate materials may incur an additional fee.
a. Attendees must attend and complete all aspects of the Course to qualify for certification where applicable.
b. The full Course fee will be charged where an Attendee arrives late, is absent, or is refused entry due to lateness.
a. Oldham First Aid Training operates an Equal Opportunities Policy.
b. The Customer must inform Oldham First Aid Training in advance of any special requirements to allow full participation.
c. Specialist equipment or support (e.g. interpreters) is not provided and must be arranged at the Customer’s cost.
a. Attendees must be physically and mentally capable of undertaking first aid duties and must be at least 16 years of age.
b. Attendees who fail to meet Course requirements or assessments will not be awarded a certificate.
c. It is the Customer’s responsibility to select suitable Attendees.
a. Customers must ensure Attendees meet re-certification eligibility requirements.
b. Certificates issued in error will be deemed invalid.
a. Except for death or personal injury caused by negligence, Oldham First Aid Training shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.
b. Total liability shall not exceed twice the Course fee paid.
a. Oldham First Aid Training processes personal data in accordance with DP Legislation.
b. Personal data is used solely for Course administration.
c. Data may be shared with authorised processors for operational purposes.
d. Appropriate technical and organisational safeguards are in place.
e. Data will not be transferred outside the UK without adequate protection.
f. Data breaches will be notified within statutory timeframes.
g. Personal data will be securely destroyed when no longer required.
h. Contact details will not be shared with third parties.
a. Customers may request access to their personal data under the Data Protection Act 2018.
b. Requests may be made via the website, email or in writing.

b. Oldham First Aid Training will aim to resolve complaints promptly.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
